Last night during SiriusXm’s Pre-Party with Kramer, Deadmau5 premiered his new single “The Veldt”, which will be available May 6, preceding The Veldt EP release on June 25. Soothing and futuristic with uplifting vocals from Chris James, Zimmerman claims the track was inspired by short sci-fi story, The Veldt, written by American author Ray Bradbury.
“After being inspired by the book, i felt… man, i’d really like to create a soundtrack to this.. a somewhat melancholic yet uplifting audio image of kids bestowed with insane technology which enables them to conjure up any setting or any thing they desire”
In addition to this track, The Veldt EP will also feature “Failbait” with legendary hip-hop group Cypress Hill.
