Cazzette is the next monster duo, from the lab of management genius, Ash Pournouri. If you haven’t heard of Ash, he is the master mind managing the hottest young swede, Avicii.

The duo, Seb and Alex, are a fresh sound that they describe as Dub-House. They take the best sounds of dub step, and experiment with their own favorite sounds. The result, has been a crowd electrifying series of sold out shows opening for Avicii. They have remixes for Swedish House Mafia, Adele, and Knife Party.

We had the chance, not only to witness one of these energetic sets, but to sit down and interview the duo afterwards. They expressed their love and gratitude for music and brought us inside their music making process. With out any problem, they hyped up a packed club and had the place jumping.

So you’ve been playing on Avicii’s College Tour, how has that been? Can you tell me a little about that experience?

Incredible! It’s been amazing we are so happy to play sold out shows all the time. The crowd has been so amazing and we get a lot of great feedback.

What has been your most memorable moment thus far?

Apart from when our manager Ash replied to our first email, which for us was huge., every gig has been amazing, we can’t pick just one. We appreciate everything. There have been gigs that have felt like extra-much, but still we don’t want to choose a special place. Everywhere we go, we find new love.

How has your experiences in New York been? Lavo specifically.

It was a big deal for us to open for Dada Life at Lavo. That club has a special vibe and the people are high profile. I actually have a funny story about that. We were about to go on stage, and this girl pulled my arm and said, “You know I’m a very rich girl”. I didn’t really know what that meant and I didn’t know how to react to something like that – is that normal in the US? Sugamamas everywhere?

Swedish House Mafia premiered your new single during their Pete Tong Takeover, Can you talk to me about that track?

Our manager is the springboard for all our exposure. He had Ingrosso play it on BBC Radio and we were very super happy when we heard as we are huge fans of him. It’s our first single and the vocal is temporary while we’re trying to nail our own before release.

What other producers and sounds have you been compared to?

We haven’t really had any comparisons. It’s just something we call Dub House – I think Ash coined that term with this project. We combine everything we love, we couldn’t stand doing only one type of production. We try to take the best out of Dub Step and combine it with other inspirations and make it a bit more cross-over friendly.

Are there any remixes coming soon that fans could be excited about?

Be on the lookout for our remix of Spencer & Hill and Nadia Ali’s track ‘Believe It’ coming out soon. Also our remix of R3Hab and Swanky Tunes’s monster “Sending My Love”.

Moving forward, what is one thing you would like people to know about Cazzette? One statement?

 Prepare for QUIRKY! Hahaha
